Well, no I wasn't born in the 80's, so i have no idea about how it was then but music is a power thing that lasts for ever and surpasses times (cliche). "Hear" my favorite albums of the 80's. Just Check it out.

04. Tracy Chapman(self-titled)

Genre: Country Folk

Released: 1988
Label: Elektra

Popular Songs: "Fast Car", "Talkin' Bout A Revolution"

Reason: Tracy Chapman touches on deep topics such as racism, abuse, hope, freedom, love and yet kept the music feeling like...music. I'm not a country music fan but this was such a great album that that did not matter.

03. Bob Marley-Legend

Genre: Reggae

Released: 1984
Label: Island/Tuff Gong
Popular Songs: "Is This Love", "One Love/People Get Ready

Reason:Its Bob, Weh U Expect? Duh!

02. Micheal Jackson-BAD
Genre: Pop

Released: 1987
Label: Epic

Popular Songs: "Bad", "Smooth Criminal"

Reason: Well, how many artistes do you know after reaching their musical "peak", they go the extra mile...and it works out? After Thriller (which is not on this list...sorry) Micheal Jackson went even farther musically. All of the songs on this album sound movie-like and epic, which is what I always have associated with MJ (along with making fun of him...again, sorry). Not to mention some of the crazy videos that were born from this album.

01. Micheal Jackson-Thriller

Genre: Pop

Released: 1982
Label: Epic

Popular Songs: "Thriller", "Beat It"

Reason: Ok, I lied, It has to be on the list it is one of the biggest albums of all time. Every song is a hit. Best Music Video at that time and even now. Classic
